Develop your leadership skills, confidence, and problem-solving abilities with Remote Mentor

Mentoring is most often defined as a trust-based professional relationship in which a respected, committed, and enthusiastic person (the mentor), shares his/her knowledge and experience with a less experienced colleague (the mentee) in developing his/her core skills, belief, and professional standing. Mentoring programs are seen as an attractive business perk for people of all ages and career stages, particularly millennials, who have quite rightly come to expect quality mentoring and development opportunities as the norm. Interestingly, our definition could also include reverse mentoring, where typically a younger and less experienced team member shares cross-generational knowledge and experience with their own mentor! The benefits of an ordered system of mentorship range from accelerating self-development and improving confidence, to modeling best practise, and avoiding the avoidable mistakes along the way. There really is so much to be gained. And, of course, network marketing is built for this!

Having a Sponsor or upline on hand to support and encourage you (and on occasion, challenge you) via regular feedback calls is without doubt one of the best ways to develop your skills, belief, and confidence. Mentors of this type (who, by their own admission are not neccesarily the complete expert) play many roles. They’re an encourager, an advocate, a coach, and a sounding board for your ideas. Moreover, the effect of mentorship on leadership development cannot be overstated. The benefits are huge, and include improved communication skills, mastering the art of delivering feedback, asking better questions, overcoming isolation, helping reduce anxiety, becoming a good listener, gaining exposure to new and different perspectives and more! Via our regular (generally weekly) 1-on-1 mentoring calls we (as Sponsor and upline) invest our time and resources in the next generation of emerging leaders by passing along the meaningful knowledge, expertise, and hard-knocks we’ve accumulated over the course of our careers.
